Homosexuality is widely accepted in the UK and the Gay and Lesbian scene has been thriving in resent years and is now apparent in all major cities and large towns, with London, Brighton, Blackpool and Manchester still being the big players. Licensing laws are being relaxed so we may see longer opening hours in many venues across the country. Laws with regards to smocking in public places are also changing soon with a public smoking ban being enforced in parts of the country. Scotland has a no smocking in public building law that will also extend to England in June 2007.

The age of consent in the UK is 16 for both homosexuals and heterosexuals (17 in Northern Ireland) and in recent times the "Gay Civil Partnership Act" has been passed in parliament allowing same sex couples to legally register their partnership, allowing us enjoy many privileges that till now have been exclusive to heterosexual couples.

The UK has many publications dedicated to gays and lesbians which include monthly issues of glossy mags: Attitude, AXM, GT (Gay Times), reFRESH, Bent (free @ some Venues) and Diva. Free publications include Boyz Magazine, Fyne Times, Out Northwest, Hot Magazine, Manzone, The Pink Paper, Positive Nation and ScotsGay to name but a few.

Cities Now Live include:
Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds & Central London.
Manchester, Blackpool & Liverpool coming May 2007.
